Having read some very poor reviews we werent expecting much to be honest. How wrong were we! The caravans were spotless, we stayed in a 2 bedroom silver + and they were really nice, we also booked through the site itself (Park Holidays) and the cost was very reasonable, all of the staff were really friendly and helpful, the entertainment was brilliant and the Band on the Saturday night "The Heroes" were amazing. The site was kept clean and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. We were a group of four "adults", I use the term loosely, lol, in our 40's and I would definately come to Seawick Holiday Park again, in a group of adults and with the children. Oh and the weather was lovely ... bit cold at night though

We had a great holiday and we love it that much we want to buy a caravan down there. The people are great and they all looked after us we had a great week and would like to thank everyone for that.
Jane Edwards, August 13th 2006

I stayed at Seawick Holiday Park for an 80's Weekender. I have to say that I found the park to be great, with everything as expected. The accommodation was clean and tidy we even had the beds made! We went for the entertainment, and it was great with a UB40, Madness and Blondie tribute acts along with Boney M, with the 80's music until 2.00am. I will definitely go back to the 80's Weekend next year.

We have just returned from a week stay at your park and would just like to say thanks to all for a great holiday, this was our fourth visit to Steeple Bay and I must say that although we have always enjoyed our stay and have no real criticisms we noticed huge changes this time.

Apart from the structural changes to the beach area which is still a work in progress and I am sure will look great, we thought that the refurbished bar/kids area was brilliant, the whole package, from friendly helpful staff to excellent food, a very professional operation. The only concerns I have, is that word may get out and the park become very busy, the price of success I suppose. The changes are obvious and from the top down, well done to all concerned we'll be back, soon I hope.

Kind regards

Mike Murphy and family.

9th August 2010

We recently spent a weeks holiday at St Osyth Beach. Unfortunately, my 7 year old daughter Katie broke her arm while we there (doing cart wheels!).

I wanted to formally express our gratitude to the security staff who helped us. They were very calm and efficient and organised an ambulance to take us to the hospital.

I particularly want to mention Liam who immediately took control and was especially kind to Katie. He also followed up a couple of days later by knocking round to check on her and he arranged for to her go backstage and see 'Same Difference' who played that evening. This made her holiday!

Despite Katie's accident, we had a lovely holiday and will definitely come again if we get the chance. I have already recommended it to friends.

Thanks again

I recently visited St Osyth Beach and myself and my family had a great holiday. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The swimming pool was great and the entertainment was fantastic. The bar manager James was so polite and made us feel very welcome. The shop has a large variety of food and drink and had newspapers every morning. The caravan was beautiful and was very clean on our arrival and in a beautiful location. The park is very pretty and so close to the beach. I really didn’t want to come home but all good things come to an end but I’ve all ready booked for next year and cant wait!!!

Just had a four night stay at Landscove. Park is in beautiful location, secluded & peaceful.
Brixham town is nearby and the walk around Berry Head starts just at the bottom of the park.
Swimming pool & entertainment was very good however the pool could do with staying open a bit later - say 6pm, 5pm is too early - always rushing back to get a swim before it closed. The childrens entertainment whilst good, is on too late for younger children at 8pm could there not be something earlier for under 5's - before the bingo starts? All in all we had a very nice stay and would come back.

This was the first holiday that I had been on with the whole family. I was expecting it to be a nightmare holiday with 2 small children moaning all week and not enough room in the caravan but I was amazed to find that they were as good as gold. The caravan was perfect and felt so homely inside and child friendly and the outdoor space was amazing. The views were amazing and the site it self was tucked away from all the hustle and bustle. The holiday in Devon was the most beautiful holiday ever that we have decided to move back to Devon after 8 years away in London and it was such the perfect place that my partner proposed to me on the cliffs. I would recommend this holiday to everyone if you’re looking for a holiday where you’re not pulling your hair out. One of the most amazing experiences, and so clean and family friendly.
Mrs E, Kingston-Upon-Thames, 8th Sep 2008

Our holiday was great, enjoyed it very much. There were some bad points but that was due to nature. Due to heavy rain the pool was closed but was only ten minute drive from the other park pool which is free. It was muddy but the park staff rang us the day before to tell us to bring wellies. (not the parks fault). The staff were friendly and always there for help. The entertainment was good and good for the kids. bar wasnt too expensive.
Hastings is only eight miles away and there is alot to do there.
The beach is across the road but is stoney so if you want sand you have to travel a little of 7 miles to Cambers Sands which is lovely.
great place now looking to buy a holiday home there.
Thankyou Winchelsea.

If you want a getaway from it all type holiday, this is it. Out holiday home overlooked fields of sheep, rabbits were frequent visitors around our caravan, and ducks came for bread regularly and practically ate out of our hands they were so tame. The beach was in walking distance, and the cinque ports of both Rye and Hastings were both a short bus ride away (we left the car at the caravan park and being over 60 we used our free bus travel passes throughout the holiday going as far as Eastbourne and Tenterden). We went out every day and managed to see lots of lovely places. A very enjoyable holiday

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! A fabulous park, small, but with everything needed. Quality of staff was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. I'm a single parent with an autistic 11 year old son, and we went with a close friend (also a single mum) with 2 children, 1 of whom has cerebral palsy and epilepsy. The staff realised that they had additional needs, often without prompting, and included them in everything - without making them feel any different. My son even had his photo taken with Loopy the mascot, they even got him to make eye contact and smile! Never before achieved! The entertainment was superb, with Paul, Becki and the team providing truly first rate shows, as well as being great fun off stage. My friend and I have managed to book for a weekend in October, and are REALLY looking forward to taking the kids there again next year. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I and my family have visited this site on many occasions and have always had a fantastic time. This is largely because of the very hard work that Paul and his staff put into the shows. The ents team always go beyond the call of duty in making the holidaymakers welcome and have made our holidays special. With 5 children ranging in age from 7 to 18 I feel this is testimony to the range of entertainment available as I have just given my children the choice of 3 weeks in Majorca or Goldensands for summer 2009 and guess who won! Looks like we’ll be seeing you real soon Paul. The park is in a fantastic location with many attractions close by. The reception staff are always willing to give advice about days out and the staff in the shop are very friendly. All in all a great family place to holiday and once you go there you’ll soon feel like its your second home as you’ll just have to go back.

I have been visiting golden sands now for 16 years and i have seen faces change and some that have stayed the same with just a few more wrinkles but i can honestly say that when i have kids that is the first place i will think of taking them. i have always dreamed of being on stage but certain issues held me back but my dream came true this year as one of the many competitions was a talent show. there is always something to keep you entertained. as for the team i dont know how they manage their energy at such a high level especially mark and dev well done to you all. this is definitely a 10/10 rating for all types of people of all ages.
Heather Robinson, 18th September 2008, visited March 2008

I had always holidayed in Dawlish even as a child. My parents had always taken me to Golden Sands. I hadn't been to Golden Sands since the 70's so when it was my turn to take my family I was shocked to see how much it had changed over the years but it is still a fab place. The people are so friendly & helpful we had bad weather most days but we never tired from being at the site at least we could swim indoors when it rained we had such fun & we will be back next year & every year after. The entertainers are the best Harry made my kids laugh so much my kids commented on how nice every one were. Keep up the good work the cd is fab we play it most days for the grandson who dances away to it. I could never be tired of Golden Sands the best place to stay all you need is on site fabulous.
